Founded in 1942 as Hollabaugh-Seale Funeral Home on Scenic
Hwy near downtown Baton Rouge. The now, Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home has served
families of East Baton Rouge Parish and surrounding Parishes for more than 60
years. Eventually the Seale family relocated to Livingston Parish and started
their own business and a new partner, Spindle, was added to the name. In 1974,
a state of the art funeral home was built at the corner of Tom Drive and Wooddale
Blvd. The Hollabaugh-Spindle Wooddale Memorial Chapel was the newest facility
in East Baton Rouge Parish, located just east of downtown, a new growing and
developing area of the city. In the Early 1990’s the firm was purchased
by a Canadian company called the Loewen Group and was operated until 2000. Now
under the ownership of Gerald Wilson, a native of Houston, Texas with Louisiana
roots, Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home is proud to provide comprehensive memorial
care to hundreds of Baton Rouge Families each year. Providing peace of mind,
excellent service in a warm inviting atmosphere at an affordable price is one
of our greatest goals.
